Overview

CNC Milling Machining Cell Leader – Exhall
Salary: £18.00 – £19.00 per hour (DOE)
Contract: Permanent
Start: Immediate

Key Responsibilities

• Program (online and offline), set, and operate CNC milling machines
• Interpret engineering drawings and 3D digital files
• Manufacture prototypes and small production runs to tight tolerances
• Conduct manual and CMM inspection of machined components
• Uphold quality standards and ensure compliance with agreed specifications
• Provide technical support to cell members in programming, fixturing, and machine setup
• Foster collaborative working relationships within the team

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Leadership experience
• Time-served or equivalent experience in CNC milling
• Relevant engineering qualification
• Confident in proving unproven programs safely
• Skilled in CMM and manual inspection techniques
• Online Programming experience (preferably Heidenhain)
• CAM experience (preferably EdgeCAM)
• Experience machining a wide range of materials including Inconel, titanium, super duplex, aluminium‑bronze, plastics, and more
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Flexible and team‑oriented approach

Working Hours

• Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
