Based in a modern facility located on the outskirts of Fareham and equipped with the latest CNC machinery and cutting-edge technology, and known for producing complex components to the tightest tolerances. Continued investment, new customers, and a strong order book have created the opportunity for an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer to join our skilled engineering team.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer with a strong background in precision machining to take on a key role in programming, setting, and supporting the manufacture of high-spec components. The successful candidate will be responsible for offline programming using CAD/CAM software, and will be expected to play a hands‑on role in the setting and optimisation of CNC processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offline programming of complex 5‑axis CNC parts using industry‑standard CAD/CAM software
  • Creating programs for precision‑machined components used in aerospace, defence, and motorsport applications
  • Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and 3D models
  • Selecting tools, speeds, and feeds to ensure efficient and accurate machining
  • CNC machine setting and supporting first‑off production runs
  • Working closely with machinists and engineering to resolve production issuesContributing to continuous improvement and process optimisation
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a 5‑Axis CNC Programmer within a high‑precision engineering environment
  • Strong CAD/CAM programming skills with experience using offline programming software
  • Excellent understanding of precision machining principles, tooling, and materials
  • Ability to set and prove out complex CNC programs on the machine
  • Experience working within sectors such as aerospace, defence, or Formula 1
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
  • Effective communicator with a team‑oriented mindset
