Overview

CNC Programmer (Alphacam/ CAD /CAM/ Joinery) – Harpenden

Up to £23.00 per hour + progression opportunities + flexible hours + staff events + training + company benefits. Join a high-end bespoke furniture manufacturer that combines traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology and offers opportunities for progression and overtime.

This role is based in a Harpenden workshop specialising in luxury, one-off commissions and full interior fit-outs. You will be at the heart of the design-to-installation process, working with designers, architects, and clients to deliver premium furniture for domestic and commercial projects. This is a computer-based role focused on programming and documentation rather than machine operation.

The Role

• Read and interpret joinery drawings and CAD models to generate CNC toolpaths
• Optimise programming for efficiency, yield, and machine capability
• Liaise with designers to clarify technical details and ensure accuracy

The Person

• Alphacam or similar CAD/CAM experience (e.g. Fusion 360, RhinoCAM)
• Joinery or furniture manufacturing background with CNC programming skills
• Harpenden-based or within easy commute
