Senior CNC Programmer - Precision Engineering

Location: Datchet area
Type: Full-time, Permanent (On-site)
Start Date: Immediate

We are supporting a well-established precision engineering company in their search for a Senior CNC Programmer to lead and develop their machining operations. This is a key, hands-on role for an experienced professional with advanced Fusion 360 CAM programming skills, strong shopfloor knowledge, and a passion for mentoring others.

You will be working across a range of 3-, 4-, and 5-axis Haas milling machines as well as 2-axis lathes, producing complex components for clients in multiple industries.

Key Requirements:

• Experience programming with Fusion 360 CAM
• Hands-on machining experience (mills and lathes)
• Strong knowledge of setup, tooling selection, workholding, and optimisation
• Ability to estimate machining time and resources for prototypes and small batch work
• Confident leading a small team and sharing best practices
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills

Responsibilities:

• Create CNC programs using Fusion 360 from 3D models and drawings
• Set up and operate Haas mills (3/4/5-axis) and Haas lathe (2-axis)
• Produce one-off and small batch precision components
• Support accurate quoting by providing realistic machining and programming times
• Mentor junior machinists and uphold quality standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the workshop
