Job description

Inspire Resourcing are representing an established engineering company in the Chesterfield area who are looking for an experienced CNC Miller, Turner and Programmers to join their growing business.

We are looking for a demonstrable CNC Programmer/Setter operator, CNC Miller and also a CNC Turner who will be joining a growing CNC machining section of a business based in Chesterfield.

An excellent opportunity to join a small tight knit team in an exciting and technically diverse role.

The CNC Programmers role will require you to:

  • Set and programme bar fed/multi-axis CNC machines
  • Programme using Fanuc controls
  • Experience of both online and offline programming an advantage
  • Work with drawings and specifications
  • Tight tolerance experience
  • Able to understand the manufacturing process
  • Strong knowledge of Machining various metals
  • Apprenticeship background and/or fully trained as a CNC programmer with a strong background in engineering
  • CNC Offline and online Programming experience is desirable
  • Strong experience setting and operating machines
  • Competently set and operate milling and turning machines with Fanuc online control
  • Competent in self inspection using necessary equipment
  • Ability to independently interpret and work to engineering drawings and 3D models
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and Datum system an advantage
  • Ability to work, as a team player
  • Create efficient milling and turning programmes
  • Produce tooling and setting sheets, as well as planning and designing necessary fixtures
  • Communicate effectively and aid, when necessary, the setting up process
  • Prove out new jobs
  • Work closely with the setter operator and provide training and support.
