Job description

We are looking to strengthen our team with the addition of a CNC Machinist. This is a permanent position on the early shift (6-2.30pm and 6-12pm Monday to Friday)

The rate of pay is between £17 and £19 per hour depending upon experience.

We are looking to start the successful candidate as soon as possible, working at our excellent facilities in Burnley

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complete all setups and efficiently run 2,3 and 4 axis CNC machines
  • Working from engineering drawings and customer specifications to create precision components
  • Capable of interpreting complex engineering drawings
  • Identify processes improvements and communicate effectively
  • Must be able to operate multiple machines when required
  • To check components in process to ensure they are correct.
  • Follow routings/guidelines
  • Report any issues and defects to the engineering department
  • Follow all Company processes and procedures at all times
  • Adhere to quality standards and processes for all parts created on your machines.
  • Perform daily routine maintenance checks on machines
  • Ensure PPE is worn at all times when operating machinery
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
  • Time Served and Apprentice trained is desired
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience setting up and operating CNC
  • Programming experience is advantageous
  • Experience working with various materials
  • Good problem solving skills and an eye for detail
  • Must be able to read and understand machine programs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work from verbal and/or written instructions with minimum supervision
  • Able to work around various coolants, oils and common machine shop chemicals
WHAT YOU WILL GET IN RETURN:
  • Permanent position
  • 6am till 2.30pm Monday to Thursday and 6am till 12pm on Friday
  • Standard 40 hour week
  • Rate is £17-19 per hour depending upon experience
