Job summary

Select is currently recruiting for a General Operator on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Thetford. The role offers training, a temp contract with potential for permanency, and UK shift hours from 5:00pm to 5:00am (Mon-Wed) with a 5:30pm–12:00am Thursday slot.

Operatives will run CNC machinery, monitor performance, load/unload materials, and perform basic maintenance while upholding strict health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC or machine operating experience is desirable but not essential.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to consistent attendance.
• Quick learner with a positive and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operating CNC machinery in a fast-paced production environment.
• Monitoring machine performance and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out basic maintenance and reporting any faults.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
