Job summary

Proactive Personnel Ltd. are recruiting for basic CNC Operators to set up, operate and monitor CNC machines to manufacture precision components from engineering drawings. You will train on site and travel to Telford for a 4-week course, with travel paid. After training you will work rotating shifts to meet production targets.

Successful candidates will have experience with CNC machinery, read drawings and verify tolerances using precision instruments, with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machinery in manufacturing is preferred.
• Able to read engineering drawings and understand dimensional tolerances.
• Knowledge of CNC machining processes and basic setup is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, milling machines, and machining centres.
• Load materials, position workpieces, fixtures and tools.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and work instructions.
• Verify programs, tools, speeds and feeds; monitor operations.
• Inspect finished components with precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain quality, reduce scrap and meet production targets.
• Report faults and perform basic machine maintenance when required.
• Complete production, inspection and quality documentation accurately.
