Job summary

Integra in Harrow, United Kingdom, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our production team. You will read drawings, set up and operate CNC drilling, lathe, and milling operations to produce precision parts and ensure conformance to specifications.

You will work with management and production staff in a collaborative environment, maintaining accuracy, documenting process steps, and upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of CNC Lathe and Mill experience.
• Relevant machine experience required.
• Basic math skills for fabrication calculations.
• Ability to work independently or with supervision.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Attention to detail and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specs to determine machining requirements.
• Set up and operate CNC drilling machine to produce precision parts.
• Perform various machining and QC tasks as required.
• Document production and quality forms; fill inspection reports.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and report issues to supervisor.
• Operate machines including laser, break press, Voortman, waterjet, and copper bending.
• Contribute to team effort and safety program compliance.

Job description

Position Summary:
Must demonstrate attention to detail, work independently without supervision, and possess good oral and written communication skills. This candidate must have the ability to work in a collaborative team environment with management and production staff.

Position Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Set-up and operate CNC drilling machine to produce precision parts.
• Other machining and QC related tasks as required.
• Participate in company safety program and contribute to safe working environment.
• determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, tools to be used, and materials for the job and setup requirements.
• Ensure work piece dimensions are correct and to established tolerance criteria.
• perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, planning, drilling, grinding, and other operations.
• Accurately filling out process sheets and accurately counting number of pieces completed.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Setup, machine, and offload parts in an efficient manner
• Verifies conformance of part to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as, scales, calipers, micrometers, and fixed gauges; Fill out inspection reports as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
• Report any issues to supervisor, troubleshoot parts when issues occur.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Responsibilities will include operating the following machines: laser, break press, Voortman, waterjet and copper bending machine.
• Additional responsibilities to be performed at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related experience with CNC Lathe and Mill operation and set up.
• Relevant machine experience required.
• Basic math skills for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
• Ability to work independently or with supervision.
• Crane and forklift considered an asset.
• Capable to lift to 50lbs or 23 kilograms from ground to table level.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Dedication and focus, strong work ethic.
