Our client are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team, responsible for manufacturing small-batch aerospace components. This role requires precision and attention to detail to produce components from engineering drawings to within tight limits, using both horizontal and vertical machining centres.
Day-to-day of the role:
Manufacture a variety of small-batch components from engineering drawings using horizontal and vertical machining centres, ensuring adherence to tight tolerances.
Use a wide range of measuring equipment to check the dimensions and quality of manufactured components.
Complete final drilling, deburring, and packing of machined components.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety in the workplace.
Carry out additional tasks as allocated by the Supervisor efficiently and timely.
Support team members with other tasks as necessary to promote a cooperative team environment.
Adhere to all published Health & Safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Machinist in the aerospace or related industry.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow precise manufacturing specifications.
Skilled in the use of horizontal and vertical machining centres.
Competent in using a variety of measuring equipment to ensure quality control.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving tight tolerances.
Ability to multitask and adapt to various tasks within the manufacturing area.
Knowledge of Health & Safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
