Job description

Position: CNC Operator

Location: Wednesbury

Position: Full time Permanent Nightshift

Working hours: 46 per week Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 06:00pm

Salary: £40,000 to £42,400

This role provides the business with the running of one or more CNC turning machines in their Cell. The CNC Operator will be responsible for crafting and maintaining precision parts and components, which are crucial in industries such as aerospace and defence.

Responsibilities

• Operate Fanuc controlled lathes
• Carry out first‑off inspections using handheld gauges, micrometres and verniers
• Work with a variety of exotic materials
• Produce work to tight tolerances
• Handle high‑volume batch work
• Understand engineering drawings, tooling selection, work holding and cutting strategy

• Previous CNC operator experience

• Ability to read engineering drawings and use verniers and micrometres
