Overview

A CNC Operator in Coventry is responsible for setting up and operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery to produce high-quality, precision parts. This temporary-to-permanent position pays £13.50 per hour and offers a regular Monday to Friday shift pattern from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The CNC Operator will work within a manufacturing facility, loading raw materials into machines, running programs, and conducting quality control checks on finished products. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, attentive to detail, and able to work well in a team.

Contract: Temporary with a view to becoming permanent after 12 weeks
Pay: £13.50 per hour.
Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Location: Coventry, Prologis Park

Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines (such as lathes and mills) to produce components to exact specifications.
  • Quality Control: Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure products meet quality standards and engineering drawings.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from the CNC machines.
  • Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all company health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete production logs and quality reports.
  • Problem-Solving: Monitor machine operations, troubleshoot issues, and make minor adjustments to ensure continuous and efficient production.
