A well-established engineering subcontracting business is seeking a CNC Operator for the night shift at their factory in Stoke Row. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating multi-axis machining centres and a strong understanding of metrology, technical drawings, and quality control processes in precision engineering. This role offers an hourly rate inclusive of a night shift allowance and overtime potential.

Qualifications

Contek Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CNC Operator to join a busy precision engineering company, based in Stoke Row, Henley-on-Thames.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established engineering subcontracting business of highly skilled engineers. The company manufactures a wide range of precision components for breathing apparatus and medical applications with an international customer base.

They are looking for a CNC operator to join their night shift at their factory in Stoke Row, near Reading, Henley, Wallingford and Didcot.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operating CNC multi-axis machining centres
  • Monitoring production of precision components.
  • Changing tips/tools as required.
  • Ensure components are washed and prepared for the next step in production.
Requirements
  • Understanding of basic metrology using verniers, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
  • Experience of running programs on CMMs and other automated inspection devices.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good time management.

Hourly rate shown is inclusive of night shift allowance which is time and a third. Overtime when available is time and a half
