Rowley Regis

Up to £55,000 + O.T X1.5

How many sub con machine shops pay their programmer's overtime?! This one is not to be missed! A highly competitive salary with plenty of overtime paid at time and a half is on offer... You will be working for a supplier into some very well‑known businesses! The business have two sites, but this would be working out of their newly set up facility in Rowley Regis. You will be creating programs for the latest Matsuura 5 axis milling machines. These high‑spec parts are produced and supplied to one of the leading names in F1 as well as other high‑end automotive and motorsport businesses.

The Role

This is a position where you will be given autonomy to make decisions, so naturally with that responsibility you must be credible. You will be in daily contact with the machinist's that are running the programs so being on hand to answer any questions is a necessity. On a daily basis, you can expect to be defining the manufacturing strategy for a variety of components working with materials including Titanium, Inconel, Aluminium and Steel whilst engaging closely with the Machine Shop team to optimiser each manufacturing process.

Key Bits
  • You will have experience creating programs for high spec machining jobs using Siemens NX or Hypermill CAD/CAM software
  • You will have previously produced programs for precision parts for batch production
  • Created complex programs from scratch for 5 axis mills
