CNC Miller – Setter/Operator
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Miller to join our precision engineering team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can produce high-quality components efficiently, while adhering to strict quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce precision components to exacting standards from engineering drawings.
- Set and operate CNC milling machines (3 & 5 Axis).
- Work to tight tolerances and carry out self-inspection using a wide range of measuring equipment.
- Maintain high levels of quality, efficiency, and accuracy throughout the manufacturing process.
- Undertake routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines and associated equipment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, quality, safety, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
- Support organisational objectives within the SQCDP framework: Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Fully skilled, time-served CNC Setter/Operator (certification required).
- Strong background in CNC milling, with experience on 3 & 5 Axis machines.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment.
- Computer literate with excellent practical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent hand-to-eye coordination with normal colour vision.
- Committed to working safely and upholding high workplace standards.
