Job description
CNC Miller – Setter/Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Miller to join our precision engineering team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can produce high-quality components efficiently, while adhering to strict quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce precision components to exacting standards from engineering drawings.
  • Set and operate CNC milling machines (3 & 5 Axis).
  • Work to tight tolerances and carry out self-inspection using a wide range of measuring equipment.
  • Maintain high levels of quality, efficiency, and accuracy throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Undertake routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines and associated equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, quality, safety, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Support organisational objectives within the SQCDP framework: Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Fully skilled, time-served CNC Setter/Operator (certification required).
  • Strong background in CNC milling, with experience on 3 & 5 Axis machines.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment.
  • Computer literate with excellent practical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent hand-to-eye coordination with normal colour vision.
  • Committed to working safely and upholding high workplace standards.
