Job summary

A recruitment agency in engineering is looking for a skilled CNC Mill-Turn Setter, Operator, and Programmer in Tyne & Wear. The position requires expertise in programming at the machine, 1st off inspection, and familiarity with Mazatrol control panels. Candidates must be UK residents and will work on small batches in a jobbing shop environment, mainly dealing with valves. This role offers a competitive rate of £17.80ph for 40 hours a week, with overtime available.

Qualifications

  • Need to be conversant with Mazatrol control panels.

Rate: £17.80ph

Hours: 40 hours a week Mon-Thurs, OT Available

AMLR is partnering with a reputable engineering company to recruit a skilled, reliable, and time-served CNC Mill-Turn to join their team.

Based at a manufacturing facility in Tyne & Wear, the company offers cutting‑edge technology and bespoke engineering solutions, backed by over 50 years of industry expertise.

Important: Due to the nature of the market our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • This will be working on a Mill-Turn Machine
  • GA300 Mazak MACHINE
  • Looking for a fully qualified CNC Programmer setter operator
  • Working in a Jobbing Shop (servicing Multiple industries)
  • Working on small batch work 20-30 offs
  • All components are hand held
  • Mainly components are valves

Currently employ 23 on the shop floor.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Must be able to fully program at the machine
  • Must be able to 1st off inspect there work, although they have a small inspection department
  • Need to be conversant with mazatrol control panels (Fanuc is the nearest to this)
