Job description

My Client specialises in the mechanical/industrial engineering industry and are looking for a CNC Miller/Turner to join their growing team!

Job Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation & Setup: Refer to technical documents to set up CNC machines and tooling, operate CNC controls with basic programming knowledge, and produce components adhering to company standards. Includes gearshaper machine operation.
  • Quality Control: Conduct first‑off checks, use measuring equipment to ensure dimensional and visual accuracy, and make necessary offset adjustments for error rectification.
  • Maintenance & Safety: Maintain machine cleanliness, perform routine lubrication, ensure safety standards, and report defects to minimise downtime and waste.
  • Process Improvement & Collaboration: Engage in Kaizen activities, collaborate with Production Engineering, Quality, and Supervision to solve problems and optimise efficiency.
  • Additional Duties: Perform assembly tasks and take on additional reasonable tasks or projects as required by the Manager.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Experience in setting and operating CNC Turning, Milling, or Mill/Turning machines, with proficiency in reading engineering drawings and understanding geometric tolerancing.
  • Skilled in using various engineering measurement tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrates manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
