Job summary

ESS Employment are seeking an CNC Miller Setter / Programmer to work for an established company. The successful candidate will assist in manufacturing parts, ensuring set times are met and high-quality parts produced to required performance, cost and delivery targets.

Responsibilities include setting and operating 3/4/5 axis CNC milling machines using Heidenhain and/or Fanuc controls, producing complex components, adhering to quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement and 5S in the

Qualifications

Good working knowledge of component dimensions using micrometres, verniers and plug gauges.
Ability to produce components to drawing tolerance and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of inspection machines – CMM / Opticline machines.
Reading engineering drawings is essential.
Ability to set up CNC machines and tooling.

Responsibilities

Setting and operating 3/4/5 axis CNC milling machines using Heidenhain and/or Fanuc controls.
Producing high complexity components from a range of materials.
Adhering to quality standards.
Involvement and attendance at meetings in assigned area/s.
Ensuring delivery schedule adherence of parts to system/route card dates.
Flexibility to work at other Group site in Bristol if required.
Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by management.
