CNC Machinist - Precision Engineering Abingdon, Oxfordshire Day Shift

Actio Recruitment is proud to represent a well-established precision engineering firm based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, in their search for a skilled CNC Machinist to join their day shift team. This is a hands‑on role within a high‑integrity manufacturing environment, offering the opportunity to contribute to quality‑critical production across a range of sectors.
We are looking for either a Setter Operator or a Programmer Setter Operator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and Operate multi‑axis CNC machinery to tight tolerances across varied materials (Fanuc / Haas / EdgeCAM)
  • Perform CMM inspection and produce formal inspection reports as required
  • Work to scheduled production lists and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Operate within a 5S manufacturing environment and adhere to ISO 9001 quality standards
  • Conduct inspection using manual and digital tools where appropriate
Experience & Skills
  • Demonstrable experience in multi‑axis CNC machining
  • Familiarity with inspection tools and CMM equipment (desirable)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience working to tight tolerances across diverse materials
  • CNC programming experience (EDGECAM, FANUC or similar) beneficial but not essential

Day shift, Monday to Friday

Drayton, Oxfordshire

Salary and Benefits
