Overview

Role: CNC Miller Setter / Operator

Location: Walsall WS9

Pay: From £15 per hour

Hours: 07:30-16:30 Mon-Thu, 07:30-14:00 on Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
  • Analyse technical drawings and specifications to determine optimal machining methods and sequences.
  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines (Fanuc controls) for precision component production.
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy, tolerances, and quality standards.
  • Work with various materials, including Inconel.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report any issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' experience operating CNC machines, preferably milling.
  • Proficiency in Fanuc controls (G-code programming).
  • Experience with 3 and 4-axis milling operations.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • High attention to detail, precision, and adherence to tolerances.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team.
