Job summary

Workforce Staffing advertises a on-site CNC Miller Programmer Setter/Operator role in Slough. The position demands programming with Fusion360, setting up Haas 4- and 5-axis mills and interpreting technical drawings to produce precise components.

Candidates should be proficient with Fusion 360 and SolidWorks, capable of quality inspection with tight tolerances, and committed to safe, clean, and well-organised machining environments. Flexible 40-hour week, days-based, with 40k-50k pay.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines (prefer HAAS).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings precisely.
• Knowledge of machining processes and quality control.
• Experience using Fusion 360 for CAD/CAM.
• Experience using SolidWorks for CAD/CAM.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Creating programs from customer drawings with Fusion360.
• Set up and operate Haas Mills to perform various machining operations on a range of materials, including steel, aluminium, and plastic.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and set-up requirements.
• Adjust machine settings and tool offsets as necessary to maintain product quality and consistency.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometres and gauges, to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Maintain machine cleanliness, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance as necessary.
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
