• Experienced in operating Mazak machines and conventional lathes.
• Ability to understand and read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Produce high precision automotive components.
• Read and understand engineering drawings to process work.
• Program, set, and operate 3 and 4 axis CNC machinery.
• Handle and resolve problems during the machining process.
• Complete jobs and conduct final inspections.

Overview

Our client based in Nelson who are a renown manufacturer is looking for CNC Miller/Programmer to produce high precision automotive components. It is a requirement of the post that the post holder will be able and be prepared to work in locations both overseas and within the UK.

The Job

• Producing high precision automotive components
• Processing work by reading and understanding engineering drawings
• Evaluating the best method and processes to be employed
• Programming, setting and operating 3 and 4 axis CNC machinery
• Overcoming problems that may arise during the process
• Seeing jobs through to completion and final inspection
• Producing runs of products using alloy and steel, one off and batch
• Clamping and machine fixture development and design
• Produce and document job sheets

About you

• Time served engineer
• Experience using Mazak
• Experience using Millers and Conventional Lathes
• Experience using 3 Axis CNC Millers
