CNC Miller / Programmer

We are representing aprecision engineering businessinvolved inproject-based, special-purpose build environments. Due to increased demand across ongoing technical programmes, a position is now available for an experiencedCNC Miller / Programerto join amulti-disciplinary manufacturing teamproducingtight-tolerance componentsfor complex mechanical assemblies.

The Role

You runmulti-axis CNC millersproducinglow-volume, high-specification components. This is not repetitive production work - each batch is different and requires methodical setup, accurate inspection, and a strong understanding of machining principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programming, setting and operating CNC millers (multi-axis).
  • Producing precision-turned components to tight engineering tolerances.
  • Using micrometres, bore gauges and callipers for in-process inspection.
  • Adjusting tooling, offsets and machining parameters to maintain accuracy.
  • Interpreting technical drawings, including GD&T.
  • Working closely with engineering and quality across bespoke build projects.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
Shift Pattern & Pay

Double Day Shift:6:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 (weekly rotation)

Rate:£18.00 per hour + shift allowance

Overtime and additional benefits available.

Ideal Background
  • Experience programming and settingmulti-axis CNC millers.
  • Confident usingFanuc controls.
  • Knowledge of Fusion360 would be ideal but not essential.
  • Able to read complex engineering drawings and follow controlled processes.
  • Familiar with one-off or low-volume precision machining environments.
  • Manual machining knowledge beneficial.
