A manufacturing company on the outskirts of Coventry is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer. This role offers a hands-on, rewarding environment working on one-off and low-volume prototype components. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC programming skills and enjoy tackling diverse, technically engaging projects. Competitive pay and 33 days holiday are included.

  • Strong CNC programming and setting experience.
  • Able to program either offline (CAD/CAM) or at the machine.
  • Confident working from detailed technical drawings.
  • Methodical and detail-focused approach to producing high-spec parts.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Responsibilities

  • Programming 3/4/5 Axis CNC Millers.
  • Work from engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Generate CNC programs using CAD/CAM software or directly at machine.
  • Set up machines, load materials, and run test pieces.
  • Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments.
  • Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards.
  • Perform daily maintenance and general upkeep of machinery.

CNC Miller Programmer

We're currently seeking an experienced CNC Milling Programmer on the outskirts of Coventry. Working on the production of one-off and low-volume prototype components, this is a hands‑on, rewarding role for someone who enjoys variety, precision work, and the challenge of machining bespoke parts where no two jobs are the same. Our work is diverse and technically engaging, often involving complex components that require a high level of skill and attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern, well‑equipped environment where your work is valued and your input is key to each project’s success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programming 3/4/5 Axis CNC Millers (5 Axis Training can be provided)
  • Work from engineering drawings and specifications to deliver accurate, high‑quality results
  • Generate CNC programs either offline using CAD/CAM software or directly at the machine using Fanuc, Siemens, or Hurco controls
  • Set up machines, load materials, and run test pieces to verify accuracy before full production
  • Monitor machining operations and make real‑time adjustments as needed
  • Inspect finished components to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards
  • Perform daily maintenance and general upkeep of machinery
