Overview

CNC Miller - Day Shift · Milton Keynes · £45,000 + Overtime X1.5

Are you an experienced CNC Miller looking to machine intricate parts used in the F1 world? This CNC Miller position is on day shift, working on a brand-new range of 5 axis milling machines.

The Business

The business is a precision machining company supplying 5 axis parts into the motorsport and high-end automotive industry. They specialise in jig and fixture component machining, as well as assembly of these complex jigs. This site operates from their Milton Keynes precision machining facility.

The Role

You will be on the shop floor using state-of-the-art Fanuc-controlled milling machines, primarily machining different metallic materials from billet. Responsibilities include setting the tooling, operating the CNC mills, and executing CAM programs offline so they are ready to run. You will perform initial visual and hand-tool inspections before the finished part is sent to the CMM for measurement.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 5-axis milling machines with Fanuc controls on a busy shop floor.
• Prepare tooling and run CAM programs that have been created offline.
• Inspect parts visually and by hand before measurement.
• Coordinate with CMM for final part inspection.
