Job summary

An established precision engineering company in Wickford is seeking a competent CNC Miller to set up and operate CNC milling machines for high precision parts. The ideal candidate will have experience machining complex parts, particularly with Hass (Fanuc) and/or Hurco CNC Mills. This is a permanent role with salary dependent on experience, requiring a current UK right to work.

Job description
Overview

CNC Millers opportunity at this established precision engineering company. The role is manufacturing a range of often large high precision parts on a range of 3 and 5 axis machines. You will be a competent setter / operator capable of working on complex parts, programming offsets and doing basic inspection. The work will be a mix of complex one off parts and small production runs on aerospace, automotive, oil & gas and similar high precision parts from a range of metals. You should have experience machining complex multi-operation parts.

Manufacturing will involve working with Hass (fanuc) and/or Hurco CNC Mills so ideally you will have experience with these and you will likely be apprentice trained.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Ensure precision and quality of all components using appropriate measuring equipment.
  • Carry out routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process.
