Qualifications

CNC Miller – Days – Birmingham – £17 - £18 per hour – Permanent

Overview

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting CNC Millers to join a precision engineering company located in Birmingham on a permanent basis. Our client is a well‑established advanced manufacturing business that specialises in machining small, sub‑assembly components for high‑profile, leading organisations within the aerospace industry.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines
  • Work to tight tolerances using engineering drawings and specifications
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform machine maintenance and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimise workflow and efficiency
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years experience programming, setting and operating multi‑axis machines using online controls
  • If milling biased – must have Heidenhain controls experience
  • Worked with multi‑axis machines
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings
  • Previous experience machining complex components within highly regulated industries including aerospace, automotive, motorsport, F1, defence, oil & gas, nuclear, petrochemical, marine
