A precision engineering company in Andover is seeking a skilled CNC Miller. In this role, you will set and operate CNC milling machines, ensuring production of high-quality components. Location: Andover
Salary: £15 - £20 per hour (DOE)

Overview

We're supporting a growing precision engineering business in Andover as they continue to expand their machining team. With a brand-new automotive contract and long-term investment in modern equipment, this is a great opportunity for a skilled CNC Miller / Setter-Operator looking for stability, quality work, and a company that values traditional engineering excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Set and operate CNC milling machines (Mazak, Heidenhain or Fanuc)
  • Edit and adjust existing programs to meet precision requirements
  • Produce high-quality components to tight tolerances
  • Complete in-process and final quality inspections
  • Meet production targets while maintaining accuracy
  • Work closely with the team to ensure smooth workflow
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Requirements
  • Able to set/operate on Mazak, Heidenhain or Fanuc controls
  • Comfortable with offsets, tooling changes, and editing programs
  • Strong understanding of machining practices and materials
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Quality-focused mindset with solid problem-solving ability
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed
