Overview

EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in Nottingham, that is currently in the market for a CNC Miller to join their company on a permanent basis.

This market leader is a well-established entity within the precision engineering industries and boasts a rich history of supporting globally recognised customers with safety‑critical, highly complex components.

You will:

• Setting and operating 5‑axis Milling machines using Fanuc controls
• Perform multiple set‑ups per day – 3 to 4
• Machining complex small to medium‑sized parts using a range of materials such as Inconel and grade alloys for the Aerospace industry
• Be working from engineering drawings in both metric and imperial measurements
• Machining components to tight tolerances

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Proven experience in setting and operating 5‑axis CNC Milling machines
• Candidates must be apprentice‑trained or must have completed an engineering qualification
• Previously machined complex parts for precision industries, including Aerospace, Motorsport, Nuclear, MOD, Oil, and gas, etc
• Previous experience working with exotic materials such as Inconel
• Experience with machining to tight tolerances
• Confident working with small to medium‑sized components
• Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings both in Metric and Imperial
