Job summary

A leading aerospace engineering firm in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced CNC Miller with expertise in 3-axis and 5-axis machining. In this role, you will set and operate CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components for aerospace applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Heidenhain, Siemens, or Mazatrol controls and a track record of producing components to tight tolerances, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards. Job description

CNC Miller – 3 Axis / 5 Axis (Heidenhain, Siemens, Mazatrol)

Location: Greater Manchester

Hours:

Mon–Thu: 8:00–16:00

Fri: 8:00–13:00

Lunch: 30 mins (Mon–Thu)

Overtime: Time and a half for hours beyond contracted hours

Double pay for Sunday work

Looking to expand CNC machining team with an experienced CNC Miller, ideally with 5-axis experience, although strong 3-axis machinists will also be considered. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled precision engineering environment working on complex components for aerospace and high-spec manufacturing.

About the Role

You will be responsible for setting and operating a range of CNC milling machines, producing high-precision components to extremely tight tolerances. The role involves working with advanced materials including titanium castings, aluminium castings and Inconel, and using specialist tooling and measurement instruments.

You will also work closely with the inspection department to ensure all parts meet stringent aerospace quality standards, including components manufactured for major customers such as Rolls‑Royce.
