Overview

CNC Miller — £34,200 + Overtime Available; 37 hours per week (Monday - Thursday, 7am - 4:45pm); Permanent | Full-Time

The Opportunity

We are looking for two experienced CNC Millers to join a leading precision engineering business in Coventry. You'll be setting, operating, and editing programs on 4-axis and 6-axis CNC milling machines, producing high-accuracy components for the advanced manufacturing and motorsport sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Set, operate, and edit programs on 4-axis and 6-axis CNC mills
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Machine components ranging from 100mm to 2000mm DIA
  • Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, verniers, and gauges
  • Maintain quality standards, accuracy, and productivity levels
  • Perform basic maintenance and ensure a safe, clean workspace
  • Follow all company and H&S procedures
Requirements
  • Time-served or apprentice-trained CNC Miller
  • Experience with Heidenhain, Fanuc, ISO, or Siemens controls
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
  • Capable of self-inspection and working independently
  • NVQ / City & Guilds in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience working with exotic materials is advantageous
Desirable
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360, Mastercam)
  • Background in prototype or small-batch work
  • Understanding of additional machining processes (turning, grinding, manual milling)
