Job Overview
As part of the ESOL team, you will contribute to supporting students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds to develop their English language skills. Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.
Responsibilities
- Providing high‑quality teaching and learning across a range of English (ESOL) courses, at different levels ranging from Entry level to Level 3.
- Tutorship of students, showing sensitivity to their needs and encouraging the highest possible standards.
- Meeting targets with reference to student progress on programme, for their attendance and retention.
- Providing advice and guidance to students in their progression to enter employment or other courses within the College.
Qualifications
- CELTA or similar ESOL Teaching Qualification.
- Knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies.
- Teaching Qualification.
- If you do not hold a teaching qualification, you will be required to gain this within your first two years of service (with the assistance of the college).
