Role Overview
Our client, a respected engineering company located in Bristol, is currently looking for a proficient CNC Miller to become part of their expanding team.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and program CNC milling machines
- Interpret and work from engineering and technical drawings
- Create and modify toolpaths using the Fanuc CNC programming language
- Prepare machinery, inspect fixtures, tooling, and ensure correct setup
- Inspect and measure components to verify compliance with specifications
- Carry out minor maintenance tasks to ensure smooth machine operation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Report any issues or discrepancies with existing setups, programs, or documentation
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working in a precision engineering environment
- Experience with plastics machining (desirable but not essential)
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software
- Confident reading and interpreting Fanuc CNC toolpaths
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail with experience using various inspection methods
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines
Working Hours and Benefits
- Monday – Thursday, 07:30 – 16:45
- Friday, 07:30 – 12:30
- Overtime available
- 28 holidays including bank holidays, increasing up to 33 days with length of service
