A respected engineering company in Bristol is seeking a CNC Miller to join their expanding team. You will set up and operate CNC milling machines, interpret engineering drawings, and ensure compliance with specifications. Role Overview

Our client, a respected engineering company located in Bristol, is currently looking for a proficient CNC Miller to become part of their expanding team.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and program CNC milling machines
  • Interpret and work from engineering and technical drawings
  • Create and modify toolpaths using the Fanuc CNC programming language
  • Prepare machinery, inspect fixtures, tooling, and ensure correct setup
  • Inspect and measure components to verify compliance with specifications
  • Carry out minor maintenance tasks to ensure smooth machine operation
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Report any issues or discrepancies with existing setups, programs, or documentation
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience working in a precision engineering environment
  • Experience with plastics machining (desirable but not essential)
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software
  • Confident reading and interpreting Fanuc CNC toolpaths
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail with experience using various inspection methods
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines
Working Hours and Benefits
  • Monday – Thursday, 07:30 – 16:45
  • Friday, 07:30 – 12:30
  • Overtime available
  • 28 holidays including bank holidays, increasing up to 33 days with length of service
