Are you an experienced CNC Miller Setter/Programmer looking for your next opportunity? Our client located in Basildon is looking to grow their existing team.

Job Title: CNC Miller – Setter/Programmer

Location: Basildon

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £36,500-£44,500

Working times: 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, Friday 8:30 to 15:30

Are you a skilled CNC Miller looking to work on high-precision aerospace components? This is an exciting opportunity to produce complex parts to the highest standards within a fast-paced and forward-thinking aerospace environment.

We are seeking a time-served CNC Setter/Operator with experience in 3 & 5 Axis milling, capable of delivering precision and efficiency while upholding strict quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Produce accurate, high-quality aerospace components from technical drawings using CNC machines.
  • Set, operate, and maintain CNC milling machines to tight tolerances.
  • Carry out self-inspection using a wide variety of measuring equipment.
  • Take ownership of your work, ensuring all components meet required standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in manufacturing, quality, safety, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
  • Maintain equipment, tooling, and a clean, safe working environment.
  • Work to ISO 50001/14001/45001/9001 standards.
Requirements:
  • Fully skilled, time-served CNC Setter/Operator (certificates required).
  • Experience with 3 & 5 Axis milling machines.
  • Aerospace manufacturing background (essential).
  • Strong ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Competence with a wide range of measuring equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, practical skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good IT literacy and ability to follow written instructions.
  • Commitment to working safely and maintaining the highest quality.
