Job summary

A leading manufacturer of precision engineering components is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Mill-Turn) for their Wolverhampton facility. This permanent role involves setting and operating CNC machinery to produce high-precision components in the aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and possess strong skills in precision engineering. Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' proven experience as a CNC Turner/Mill‑Turn machinist.
  • Completed apprenticeship or relevant technical qualification (highly desirable).
  • Strong background in precision engineering; aerospace or similar high‑specification industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Confident editing and proving programs at the machine control.
  • Excellent drawing interpretation and geometric tolerancing skills.
  • High attention to detail and a consistent right‑first‑time approach.

Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC turning and mill‑turn machinery.
  • Produce complex, high‑precision components from a variety of aerospace‑grade materials to extremely tight tolerances.
  • Full setting responsibilities, including tooling, fixtures and program adjustment/proving.
  • Carry out first‑off and in‑process inspection using precision measuring equipment.
  • Complete all necessary quality documentation and maintain full traceability.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives on the shop floor.

Role Overview

We are recruiting for a leading manufacturer of high‑precision, complex mechanical components in the aerospace sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced, apprentice‑trained CNC Machinist (Mill‑Turn/Turner) to join their skilled manufacturing team on a permanent basis working on a double day shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and operate CNC turning and mill‑turn machinery
  • Produce complex, high‑precision components from a variety of aerospace‑grade materials to extremely tight tolerances
  • Full setting responsibilities, including tooling, fixtures and program adjustment/proving
  • Carry out first‑off and in‑process inspection using precision measuring equipment
