Job summary

Ishida Europe Ltd is seeking a skilled machinist to coordinate daily CNC milling and lathe operations, ensuring timely manufacture of machined parts to exact specifications. You will program and maintain CNC equipment, adhere to ISO standards, and work with the machine shop team to meet KPI targets for efficiency and quality.

The role requires a strong understanding of machining drawings, CAD/CAM experience, and the ability to work unsupervised to a high standard while observing health & safety

Qualifications

• Essential machining/engineering capability with strong fault-finding skills.
• Good communication, health & safety awareness and time management.
• Solid understanding of engineering drawings and CAD/CAM experience.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture machined parts on-time to correct specification and quality standards.
• Adhere to UK Health and Safety Regulations and safe working practices.
• Follow Ishida ISO standards, factory rules and HR policies.
• Achieve KPI targets for RFT, efficiency, cost and service.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Meet deadlines set by Machine Shop Team Leader.
• Build good relationships with the machine shop team and other departments.
• Report health & safety issues / near misses to the Team Leader.
• Maintain high standards of right first time, efficiency and service levels.
• Provide fast resolution to manufacturing issues and ensure good communication within operations.
• Support team members as required.

Job description

Main Purpose of the role

To co-ordinate timely manufacture of machined parts using C.N.C, manual milling machines and lathes on a daily basis to meet agreed deadlines for production. To Ensure C.N.C machines are programmed and maintained to a high standard.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsibility for manufacture of machined parts on-time and to the correct specification and quality standards.
• To adhere to UK Health and Safety Regulations and safe working practices
• To adhere to Ishida’s ISO standards, factory rules and HR policies.
• Ensure KPI targets for RFT, efficiency, cost and service are consistently achieved.
• To make positive contribution to continuous improvement activities.
• To adhere to all deadlines and targets set by Machine Shop Team Leader
• Establish good working relationship with the machine shop team and key members of all Departments.
• Reporting of Health & Safety issues / near misses to Machine Shop Team Leader.
• Ensuring high standards of right first time, efficiency and service level are consistently achieved.
• Provide fast resolution to any manufacturing issues identified and ensure good levels of communication of operations team.
• Provide positive support to team members as required.
