Overview

We are looking for a CNC Machinist (Turner) to work in a busy manufacturing environment.

Working hours: Days Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00 Friday 07:30-12:30 / Nights Monday - Thursday 19:00 - 04:00, Fri 14:30 - 19:30

Purpose of role and key accountabilities

To produce precision components from drawings using CNC machines.

  • Produce accurate, high quality components with maximum efficiency
  • Competently set and operate Multi-Axis CNC machines
  • Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standard
  • To work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing process
  • Quality check all finished jobs
  • Clean and maintain CNC machine and all associated equipment and machine area
  • Work to ISO 50001/14001/45001/9001 standards
  • Commitment to continual improvement in manufacturing, quality, health, safety environmental, energy and sustainability management
  • As part of your role you will be asked to support the Energy team and consider energy reduction and savings within the scope of your role leading to continuous improvement
