A precision engineering company in Weymouth is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set and operate CNC machines in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role includes conducting inspections and manufacturing components to specifications. Ideal candidates will have experience in high-precision industries and strong proficiency with various control systems. Competitive pay rates of £27 per hour for skilled workers and shift options available.

Purpose
As a CNCMachinist, you will play a key role in producing precision-engineered components to meet exact customer specifications. Operating in a dynamic manufacturing environment, you will set and operate CNCs, inspect your own work, and contribute tomaintaininghigh-quality standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills while working with advanced tools and techniques in a highly specialised field.
The company have both day and night shifts available.
Day Shift – £18 per hour
Night Shift – £18 X 1.5(4 dayweek)

Responsibilities
As a CNCMachinist, your responsibilitieswill include:
Setting and operating CNCmachines, some equipped with live tooling.
Conducting in-process and final inspections using tools such asverniers,micrometers, SPGs, and PPGs.
Maintaining total process control through regular inspections.
Manufacturing components to customer specifications and quality standards based on engineering drawings.
Recording,maintaining, and updating manufacturing process details on job cards.
Carrying out preventative maintenance schedules for machines.
Keeping the work environment safe, clean, and organized in line with 5S principles.
Skills and Experience
To succeed inthis CNC Machinist role,your skills and experience will include:
Proficiencyin using Fanuc/ Heidenheimcontrol systems.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing or a similar high-precision industry (preferred).
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and job cards.
Skilled in setting andoperatingvarious machine tools.
Strong PC literacy and a methodical approach to work.
