Job summary

E3recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Programmer to join a Bradford-based precision engineering business. The role involves producing complex components for high-profile defence and aerospace organisations, with a focus on turning concepts into precision parts.

The successful candidate will have strong experience with CNC controls, EdgeCAM or CAD/CAM software, and a keen eye for process improvements. 48-hour weekly nights, with competitive salary and 33 days holiday included.

Qualifications

• Experience in machining high-precision environments with CNC controls.
• Proficient with Fanuc/HAAS/ISO control software and capable of creating complex programmes.
• Experience using CAD/CAM software (EdgeCAM preferred).
• Formal Mechanical Engineering qualifications preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Create bespoke CNC programmes for new components.
• Operate and optimise CNC machines on a night shift.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in machining processes.

4 Shifts per week, 33 days annual leave and the opportunity to produce complex components and parts for a number of high-profile Defence and Aerospace organisations. Employing around 70 people at their West Yorkshire site, this business is part of a manufacturing group with over 300 employees across the UK. With a site turnover of £15M, this impressive manufacturing business has recently invested into a number of brand-new machines to improve their machining capabilities.

Due to continued growth and demand of their products and services, this employer are actively searching for a CNC Machinist Programmer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Machinist to join an impressive organisation who supply critical components blue-chip organisations such as Rolls Royce, BAE Systems and Babcock.

Based in Bradford, the CNC Machinist Programmer can easily commute from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Halifax on public transport or by personal vehicle.

For the CNC Machinist Programmer position, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:

• IDEAL NOT ESSENTIAL: Formal qualifications within a Mechanical Engineering focused discipline/subject (Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ/BTEC Level 3, HNC, HND etc.)
• The ability to create bespoke programmes for new components using Fanuc/HAAS/ISO controls and ideally EdgeCAM (or any other CAD/CAM software)
• Previous experience working in a Machining role within a high precision engineering environment
• Strong knowledge of modern machining techniques & methods as well as a keen eye for continuous improvement opportunities

Working Hours of the CNC Machinist Programmer:
48 Hours per week, spread across a nightshift working pattern:

• Monday to Thursday: 18:00 to 06:00

Details of the CNC Machinist Programmer role:

• Renumeration: Up to £56,498.00 per annum depending on experience & ability (including allowances – discussed during screening process)
• Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days (25 days + 8 public holidays)
• Company Life Assurance: 3x Annual P60 earnings
