Qualifications

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Flexibility and positive approach are essential.

Responsibilities

Skills

Experience in similar role

We are looking for a CNC Milling Machinist to fully machine complex components and ensure quality and on time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fully machine parts as required using 3-axis and 5-axis VMC’s.
  • Ensure quality of parts is to a high standard.
  • Load offline programs and liaise with production engineer to optimise set up.
  • Save all programs and set up sheets after every job.
  • Assist Shift leaders and engineers with any tooling or material requirements.
  • Safe operations of machines, tools and equipment.
  • Ensure workshop standards are maintained and machines are kept clean at all times.

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a background working within a small batch / prototype manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Matsuura, DMG or Colchester machines preferable.
  • A working knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
  • Preferred industry would be Motorsport, Aerospace or research and development.
  • Flexibility, a positive outlook and pro-active approach is essential.
  • Ability to work reliably under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Well organised and a good communicator.
  • May be required to work extended hours or weekends.
