Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate, high quality components using CNC machines.
  • Clean and maintain CNC machine and associated equipment.
  • Quality check all finished jobs.

Overview

We are looking for a CNC Machinist (Miller) to work in a busy manufacturing environment.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00; Friday 07:30-12:30.

Purpose of role and key accountabilities

To produce precision components from drawings using CNC machines.

  • Produce accurate, high quality components with maximum efficiency
  • Competently set and operate CNC machines
  • Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standard
  • To work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing process
  • Quality check all finished jobs
  • Clean and maintain CNC machine and all associated equipment and machine area
  • Working to ISO 50001/14001/45001/9001 standards
  • Commitment to continual improvement in manufacturing, quality, health, safety environmental, energy and sustainability management
  • As part of your role you will be asked to support the Energy team and consider energy reduction and savings within the scope of your role leading to continuous improvement
Core skills/attributes needed
