Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a 12-month contract in Renfrewshire. The ideal candidate should have completed an advanced engineering apprenticeship and possess experience in operating 3 & 5-axis machines. Qualifications

• Completion of an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in 3 & 5-axis machines, grinding, turning, milling.
• Ability to work at a 3-shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of machine tools, including Grinding, Milling, and Turning.
• Demonstrate understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, and visual inspection.
• Operate 3-axis & 5-axis control systems.

Base pay range

CNC Machinist - 12 month contract

Location: Renfrewshire

My client is at the forefront of the global aerospace industry and this role lends perfectly for a machinist to have exposure to the wider business, potentially leading to further opportunities

As a CNC Machinist you will be doing

• Working on a variety of machine tools, including Grinding, Milling and/or Turning
• Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection.
• Working on 3-axis & 5-axis control systems

Experience and skillset - CNC Machinist

• MUST HAVE completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in 3 & 5-axis machines, grinding, turning, milling
• Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection.
• Able to work at 3-shift pattern
