Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking experienced CNC Machinists for a role in Leeds. The successful candidates will work with precision engineering tasks, programming and operating CNC machines. Experience with Fanuc or HAAS systems is essential, alongside the ability to work with various materials. The starting salary ranges from £33,280 to £36,400 per annum. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Experience with machining stainless and mild steel, aluminium, brass, copper, bronze, and plastic.
  • Ability to work with bespoke small to medium batch size components.
  • Knowledge of programming CNC machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Programming, setting and operating CNCs to produce accurate components.

CNC Machinist

Perm Role, £33,280 to £36,400 pa DOE, 40hrs per week, Mon‑Fri

LEEDS

I am looking for experienced CNC Machinists for a Leeds based Precision Engineering firm. You could be either a Turner, Miller or someone experienced at both.

The successful candidates will ideally be Apprentice Trained, or time served. Key requirements for the role include:

Turner
  • Experienced with Fanuc, Siemens or Mazatrol is essential
  • Knowledge of ShopTurn would be beneficial
  • Must be able to Program
  • Knowledge of machining Stainless and Mild Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Bronze & Plastic
  • Machining bespoke small to medium batch size components (5 s to 200 s)
  • Ability to use measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometres
Miller
  • Experienced with HAAS, Fanuc or Protrak is essential
  • Experience of Machining up to 4-axis
  • Must be able to Program
  • Knowledge of machining Stainless and Mild Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Bronze & Plastic
  • Machining bespoke small to medium batch size components (5 s to 200 s)
  • Ability to use measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometres
Day to day duties of this role include:
  • Programming, setting and operating CNCs to produce accurate, quality components on time
  • Effective and efficient use of all materials and tooling
  • Managing your work schedule
  • Self inspecting all manufactured components
  • Adhering to all Quality and H&S Standards

You will be contracted to 40hrs per week working Monday to Thursday from 7am to 4.30pm with an 11am finish on a Friday. The starting Salary is experienced dependant and between £33,280 pa up to £36,400 pa for someone who ticks all the boxes.
