Job: CNC Machinist / Miller

Location: Bristol

Hours: Standard Days

Salary: £17-£18ph

AMLR is partnering with a reputable engineering company to recruit a skilled, reliable, and time-served CNC Machinist/Miller to join their team.

Based at a state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility in Bristol, the company offers cutting‑edge technology and bespoke engineering solutions, backed by years of industry expertise.

Important: Due to the nature of the market our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents and will be subject to a DBS check.

Key Responsibilities for the CNC machinist/ miller role
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (mills) to produce parts.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to check the quality of parts against specifications and tolerances.
  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical schematics.
  • Experience with specific CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Mazak) and potentially CAD/CAM software (not required as on setting operating but advantageous).
  • Familiarity with working in a quality‑controlled environment, such as one that follows ISO9001 standards.
  • Completion of in‑process inspection sheets and rout cards.
  • Cutting tool setup, work holding selection and setting of datums using Renishaw probing, dial indicators and edge finders, as applicable.
  • Jig and fixture manufacture.
  • Aerospace experience preferable.
