Job summary

AB Resourcing is recruiting for a CNC Machinist in Patchway, UK. This permanent role operates on a two-shift pattern (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00) Monday to Friday with overtime at 1.5x.

You will set up and run 3-axis CNC milling machines, read engineering drawings, and maintain tight tolerances using Vernier calipers. Applicants should have 2+ years of CNC experience, preferably with 3-axis mills and Fanuc control.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating CNC machinery.
• Setting and operating CNC machines, preferably milling.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Experience with 3 axis milling centres preferable but not essential.
• Able to edit CNC programmes if required.
• Fanuc experience preferable but not essential.
• Skilled in using measurement tools, e.g., Vernier calipers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Selecting appropriate tooling.
• Collaborating with the quality team to ensure part conformity and traceability.
• Communicating equipment needs with Engineering & Quality managers.

We are looking for specific experience for this role:

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating CNC machinery
• Setting and operating CNC machines - preferably CNC Milling machines
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
• Experience of 3 axis milling machining centres preferable but not essential
• Ability to edit CNC programmes to suit need if required
• Fanuc experience preferable but not essential
• Skilled in using measuring tools - Mainly Vernier calipers
• Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
