A leading engineering manufacturer is seeking an apprentice-trained and experienced CNC Machinist with strong competencies across both milling and turning operations. The role involves producing complex, high-precision components for critical applications using advanced CNC equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines across milling and turning processes.
  • Perform first-off inspections and complete all required quality documentation.
  • Confidently set up and use machine tools to achieve required tolerances.
  • Conduct own first-off checks and verify accuracy against engineering drawings.
  • Work effectively within a precision machining environment.
  • Use precision measurement and inspection equipment for tight-tolerance components.
Key Experience
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment; regulated or precision industry experience is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of machining methods, tooling selection, and cutting strategies.
  • Demonstrated capability working with complex, multi-axis CNC setups.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient with measurement and inspection techniques to meet drawing requirements.
  • Experience across different CNC machine platforms for both milling and turning operations.
