Job Description

Pertemps is currently recruiting fore experienced Machine Operators to join a leading manufacturing company based in Witton, Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled individuals with a background in engineering or machining to secure long‑term, ongoing work within a well‑established and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate machinery in line with production specifications
  • Monitor machines during operation to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Carry out quality checks to maintain high manufacturing standards
  • Perform basic maintenance and adjustments as required
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a machinist or within an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
  • Reliable, team‑focused, and flexible approach
Details
  • 4 on / 4 off shift pattern – rotating days and nights (12‑hour shifts)
  • £12.50 per hour to start – Training Rate
  • Parity pay after 12 weeks, with rates increasing to around £20+ per hour depending on grade
  • Long‑term ongoing work with immediate starts available
