Job Title: CNC Team Leader

Location: Nottinghamshire

Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience

Shift: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm | Friday, 8:30am - 12:00pm

The Role

As CNC Team Leader, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of the machine shop, managing workflow and supporting machinists across CNC mills, lathes, and machining centres. You'll be hands‑on with programming, setting, and operating, while ensuring quality, efficiency, and team development remain at the forefront.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and support the CNC machining team
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to plan production requirements
  • Programme, set, and operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, and machining centres)
  • Estimate setup and run times, tooling, and material needs
  • Adjust speeds, feeds, and tooling for precision and accuracy
  • Perform routine maintenance and ensure safe workshop operations
  • Inspect finished parts to maintain high-quality standards
  • Drive continuous improvement and workflow efficiency
About You
  • Skilled in programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery
