Job summary

Omega in Swindon seeks a skilled Quality Inspector to join a busy aerospace manufacturing team. You will inspect composite parts and structures using CMM and other measuring tools, report non-conformities, and support investigations.

Strong PC-DMIS experience, ability to read drawings, and GD&T knowledge are required. The role supports permanent day or late shift in a high-precision environment for aerospace and defence projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CMM inspection experience with PC-DMIS is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with GD&T symbols and interpretation.
• Experience with inspection techniques and gauges.
• Knowledge of QMS systems and Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Use CMM for precision inspection of components and assemblies.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections.
• Present nonconformities to the team and discuss corrective actions.
• Prepare non-conformity reports and maintain records.
• Inspect non-conforming parts and participate in investigations.

The Role - Quality Inspector

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CMM Inspector to join a busy and thriving aerospace manufacturing business in Swindon

You will be responsible for inspecting composite parts and structures and working with various stakeholders to take appropriate action on non-conformities identified during inspection.

You’ll be working in highly innovative environment to support production of strategically important parts and structures for the aerospace and defence sector.

Responsibilities - Quality Inspector

• Use of CMM for precision inspection.
• Dimensional and visual inspection of parts and assemblies
• Presenting and discussing nonconformities with the team
• Preparing non-conformity reports
• Inspecting non-conforming parts
• Participating in investigations and problem-solving tasks

Background - Quality Inspector

• Hands on CMM experience (PC-DMIS essential)
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Experience in inspecting GD&T symbols
• Experience with inspection techniques and various measuring instruments and gauges.
• Knowledge of QMS system and Microsoft applications
