Job summary

A precision manufacturing company based in Abbots Langley is seeking a CMM Quality Inspector. In this role, you will verify CMM reports, conduct manual inspections, and liaise with management on product conformity. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in inspection, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively. A competitive salary of £37k – £38k plus unlimited overtime is offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in inspection.
  • Good understanding of all basic manual inspection equipment.
  • Experience with FAIR reports.
  • CMM Operator/Programmer experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Verify CMM reports by manual means where applicable.
  • Conduct manual/visual inspections.
  • Liaise with management regarding product conformity.
  • Aid in problem-solving activities.
  • Operate CMM and interpret results.
  • Complete FAI reports.
  • Document control and ensure traceability.

We operate a high‑quality engineering facility that offers a clinical and precise working environment, utilising state‑of‑the‑art machine tools and inspection equipment.

We are seeking a hardworking and precise inspector to add to our well‑established quality team. You will get the chance to maintain the conformity of highly complex components that test your abilities on the cutting edge of machining.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Understand and verify CMM reports by manual means where applicable
  • Manual/visual inspection
  • Liaise with management/machine shop operatives regarding product conformity
  • Aid in problem solving activities
  • Operate CMM and interpret results
  • Complete FAI reports
  • Set priorities with management
  • Compiling certificate of conformity
  • Documentation control
  • Ensure traceability requirements have been adhered to and maintained throughout

  • 2 years of experience in a subcontract machining environment
